I pledge--
my head to clearer thinking
my heart to greater loyalty

for my club, my community, my country and my world.

-Helps youth to learn to think and reason.
-Helps youth learn to plan before they take action.
-Lets youth learn things they can use as an adult.
-Lets youth make decisions.
My Heart to Greater Loyalty
Through 4-H youth-
-Make many friends.
-Learn about trusting and respecting others.
-Learn to be concerned for the welfare of others.
-Learn about people who are different from them.
-Learn to accept the responsibilities of citizenship.
-Learn and develop positive attitudes.
-Learn about values.
My Hands to Larger Service
4-H-
-is learning by doing.
-is learning to complete tasks.
-is serving their community.
-is helping others.
-is being useful, helpful and skillful.
My Health to Better Living
4-H-
-Encourages activities that are fun and healthy.
-Teaches about protecting the environment.
-Teaches practices of healthful living.
