Projects

When a youth joins 4-H, he or she should be encouraged to select a project area from one of the 8 curriculum areas listed below.  The project area will not only teach a 4-H’er more about the area of interest, but hopefully encourage him/her to do more in depth research in the area.

The 4-H’er should be asked to keep a record of what he/she has done throughout the year.  Then he/she should be asked to complete a project form on what he/she did throughout the project.  Doing this will teach the 4-H’er valuable skills in record keeping and at the same time give him/her an opportunity to be recognized for all their hard work.

Some Projects have Project Manuals that can be gotten from the Extension Office or you can go online and find the desired project and either download it or purchase it if need be.  Listed below are several links that maybe helpful.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read the some of the files below.  If you do not have this software, you can download it from the Adobe Website.  It is FREE.
