Pickens County 4-H Volunteer Leader Meeting Pickens

Present: Susan Dodgens, Deb Edson, Samiel Martin, Amy
Sowell, Bob Spalding, Gina Warren and Leeann White
Deb Edson Called the meeting to order. Minutes were
read and approved. Treasurer's report: Checking Account $905.68,
Foundation: $13048.32 with 95.00 to be added. 4-H received $225.00 from
the quilt raffle.
Bob Spalding, Deb Edson, and Susan Dodgens met with Mr.
Culberson. At this time Glenna's position will not be filled by Clemson
Extension. There is to be another budget cut the middle of the year. A
part time agent was also discussed. Bob stated we might get some funding
from United Way or County Council. Bob will check into these
possibilities.
Money raising was discussed. We should have a contact person in the places
we go to solicit funds.
There will be a committee meeting on January 6th @ 2:00
pm. to formulate plans for raising money. All volunteer leaders are
welcome to come. Leaders need to give Deb Edson information on businesses
to contact for funds.
Deb Edson gave some information on filling out record
books.
Next leader meeting will be held on January 20, 2004 at
6:30 pm at the extension office.

Deb called the meeting to order. After some discussion
It was decided to do a tentative calendar.
Record Books will be due on January 26th to club
leader. They are due by 5pm Feb2nd to extension office.

Consumer Judging state is in June Woodworking workshop

Countywide beach bash August 2nd\Next meeting on November 4th with Glenna.
